Four Distinctive Major Programs

The Faculty of Economic Sciences fosters individuals with professional knowledge of humanities and social sciences, focusing on economics and management, to solve social issues, including regional revitalization, from global perspectives. In order to gain comprehensive decision-making skills and sociability, various opportunities to learn together with people with abundant experience in the society as well as international students with different cultures are being prepared for students. We, in cooperation with experts who have been taking leaderships in business, contribute to the local and global society by producing core individuals who can support in regional revitalization.

The Faculty of Economic Sciences has one department with four distinctive major programs; Economic Studies Program, Management Studies Program; Interdisciplinary Japanese Studies Program; and Regional Leadership Studies. Students first take general education courses, which can be applied for all four major programs, to acquire university-level learning methods, and each student will choose one major program at the end of the first year. Once students’ academic program is determined, they pursue their expertise in the program through taking various courses and practical trainings. As there are some overlaps in learning areas among the four programs, students can also take some courses offered by different programs and benefit from the interdisciplinary education.

Learning together with people who have abundant experience in the society and international students with different culture is one of the attractive features of the Faculty of Economic Sciences.

Each major program differs in;

  • Topics to analyze
  • Academic discipline(s)
  • Learning methods
